Tinka setzt sich energisch dafür ein, dass die Mitglieder der Versammlung sie als Oberwichtel anerkennen. Lasse stellt seine Musik über die Angelegenheiten der Versammlung und die aufkommenden Konflikte im Wichtelreich. Im Hintergrund schmieden Falke, Grot und Birk heimlich Pläne, Tinka als Oberwichtel abzuwählen.

24 Tage vor Weihnachten wartet Tinka ungeduldig auf die heilige Zeremonie im Elfenreich, bei der sie vollwertiges Mitglied der Gemeinschaft werden soll. Doch ihr Amulett verfärbt sich nicht – sie ist halb Elfe, halb Mensch und steht nun vor der Herausforderung, den Weihnachtsstern zu finden, der vor über 100 Jahren verschwunden ist. Nur so kann Tinka das Weihnachtsfest retten und Menschen und Elfen davon überzeugen, dass sie friedlich nebeneinander leben können.
