Not to be confused with any of the sequels to Sylvester Stallone's classic Oscar-winning Rocky, this short film from Finnish filmmaker Aki Kaurismäki is actually meant as a parody of the late Cold War-era Rocky IV, which saw Stallone's character taking on a juiced-up Russian fighter played by Dolph Lundgren. In this 1986 send-up, Rock'y, played by Silu Seppala, goes head to head with Soviet Igor (Sakari Kuosmanen) and loses.

Als exzentrischer Musiker ist er Inspirationsquelle für so unterschiedliche Künstler wie Feist, Jarvis Cocker, Peaches, Daft Punk und Drake. Veränderung ist die einzige Konstante in Gonzales‘ künstlerischem Output. Jedes Mal, wenn sein Publikum glaubt, ihn durchschaut zu haben, vollzieht er einen radikalen Stilwechsel und bricht mit Erwartungen

Pianomania porträtiert den passionierten Steinway & Sons Klavierstimmer Stefan Knüpfer. Im Zentrum des Films steht dessen schwierige Zusammenarbeit mit dem berühmten Pianisten Pierre-Laurent Aimard. Die Liebe zur Perfektion und der Hang zu einem kleinen bisschen Wahnsinn scheinen in Pianomania oft nah beieinander zu liegen, wie sich auch in Knüpfers Arbeit mit anderen namhaften Kunden (den Pianisten Lang Lang und Alfred Brendel) zeigt.

Als einer der ersten in den USA geborenen Dirigenten, der die Welt im Sturm erobern sollte, ist Leonard Bernstein auch ein außergewöhnicher Komponist und das nicht nur wegen des Erfolges von The West Side Story. Statt sich auf Bernsteins berühmtestes Werk zu konzentrieren, hat Thomas von Steinaecker sich auf die Suche gemacht, um ein Gesamtbild von Bernstein zu entwerfen.
