Nachdem er ein paar Prüfungen erfüllt hat, darf er aus der Geisterwelt zurückkehren und wird deren Detektiv. Folglich arbeitet Yusuke als Agent für Koenma, dem Sohn des Herrschers der Geisterwelt. Im Film selbst geht es darum, dass Koenma entführt wird und Yusuke, Kuwabara, Kurama, Hiei und Botan machen sich auf den Weg, ihn zu retten.
