Floyd lost his job despite lack of evidence to support these claims. He now works as a small time insurance investigator, who's flown into the small town of Sherrill, NY to investigate a life insurance claim, only to find himself distracted by the locals' odd behavior.

Returning wounded from the war Maksym was overcome by self-doubt, in his physiological state. He is undergoing rehabilitation. He loses contact with his wife. He is tormented by dreams. In one of his dreams Maksym goes to the island to catch a lot of fish, as the paramedic advised him. Maksym takes a boat, net, dynamite from the best man and sails to the island.

Dem norwegischen Diplomaten Fridtjof Nansen ist es zu verdanken, dass 1922, 30 Jahre vor der Genfer Konvention, der sogenannte Nansen-Pass eingeführt wurde. Dieser stellte bis 1945 einen Schutz für Tausende Staatenlose dar, die infolge der Umwälzungen des ersten Weltkrieges, des Völkermordes an den Armeniern und der Russischen Revolution ihre Staatsbürgerschaft verloren hatten.

Lenin gilt als Anstifter der russischen Oktoberrevolution 1917. Doch so ganz stimmt das nicht. Wenn man die Oktoberrevolution von 1917 genau nachvollzieht, ergibt sich sogar eine ganz andere Geschichte. Lenin erscheint von den Ereignissen überwältigt und autoritätslos gegenüber seinen Truppen. Plötzlich hat er nur noch wenig mit dem Helden gemein, als der er heute gefeiert wird.
