Straight Up is a popular but short lived Canadian television series produced by Back Alley Films. Although critically acclaimed, the show only ran for 13 episodes on CBC Television from 1996 to 1998. Set in Toronto, the show dealt with the gritty problems of teenagers living in an urban environment. Rather than focusing on a core group of principal characters, each episode would typically feature a different set of the ensemble teenage cast. Initially, although the character relationships were intertwined, each episode would feature a self-contained plot usually involving only a few of the characters. However during the second season, there was a continuing story arc involving a murder over multiple episodes. Although Straight Up only lasted for two seasons, it spawned the spin off series Drop the Beat which followed the characters of Jeff and Dennis as DJs at a campus radio station.

This series is about Vipo, the flying dog, and his friends getting trapped on Time Island. Its up to them to face the creatures that live there and find a way home.

Drawn Together ist eine US-amerikanische Zeichentrickserie, die Film und Fernsehen persifliert. Der derbe Humor mit viel Sexbezug und Gewalt richtet sich ausschließlich an ein erwachsenes Publikum. Die Deutschsprachige Erstausstrahlung erfolgte am 3. Mai 2006 auf MTV Germany. Die Handlung ist an das Konzept von Reality-Shows angelehnt. Unterschiedliche Personen werden in einem Haus untergebracht und dabei von Kameras beobachtet. Comedy Central machte damit Werbung, dass Drawn Together die erste animierte Reality Show sei, in der acht Zeichentrick-Figuren gewollt zusammen in einem Haus leben. In manchen Episoden müssen sich die Figuren ein paar Herausforderungen stellen, basierend auf echten Reality-Shows. Nach nur 3 Staffeln wurde die Serie jedoch wieder abgesetzt.
