Filmed April 12, 2003 at a benefit concert held at and for The Anthology Film Archives, the international center for the preservation, study, and exhibition of avant-garde and independent cinema. In addition to screening films for the public, AFA houses a film museum, research library and art gallery. The event, which raised money for the Archives and celebrated the life and work of avant-garde film maker Stan Brakhage, featured Sonic Youth providing an improvised instrumental collaboration with silent Brakhage’s films. The band performed with drummer/percussionist Tim Barnes (Essex Green, Jukeboxer, Silver Jews).

Pretty Bloody: The Women of Horror is a television documentary film that premiered on the Canadian cable network Space on February 25, 2009. The hour-long documentary examines the experiences, motivations and impact of the increasing number of women engaged in horror fiction, with producers Donna Davies and Kimberlee McTaggart of Canada's Sorcery Films interviewing actresses, film directors, writers, critics and academics. The documentary was filmed in Toronto, Canada; and in Los Angeles, California and New York City, New York in the US.

The main character of this film is a projectionist who, 37 years ago, used to carry his old projector on foot and bicycle. He would display a small screen across the road or between trees in front of a farm... It's the same today except that he rides a motorcycle, carries a large screen and that the films travel two thousand kilometers from Beijing to Chengdu by satellite, before he picks them up on his motorcycle. Up in the mountains, people bring a stool out on the road and watch. That story takes place in Beijing and the beautiful mountains covered with bamboos above Chengdu

Jesus Camp ist ein christliches Sommercamp, in dem Kinder ihre „prophetischen Gaben“ verfeinern und lernen, wie sie „Amerika für Christus zurückerobern“ können. Der Film ist ein erster Einblick in ein intensives Trainingsgelände, auf dem wiedergeborene christliche Kinder rekrutiert werden, um ein aktiver Teil der politischen Zukunft Amerikas zu werden.

Die Fotografin und Filmemacherin Zana Briski freundet sich mit den Kindern der Prostituierten an und bietet diesen an, sie in der Kunst der Fotografie zu unterrichten. Auf diese Weise erhält sie Einblick in die Welt der Prostituierten.

Im Mittelpunkt des Films stehen die Einwohner des kleinen Ortes, der jährlich zum Open-Air-Festival von Fans der Heavy-Metal-Szene überschwemmt wird. Am ersten Augustwochenende treffen sich zirka 60.000 Fans aus aller Welt in Wacken, das nur 1.800 Einwohner zählt. Der Film zeigt die Wackener in ihrem Alltag und wie sie die Zeit des Festivals erleben, bei dem sie zum Teil mit eingebunden sind. Der Dokumentarfilm trägt den Untertitel Heimatfilm.

Im Januar 1991 wurde in den USA Aileen Wuornos verhaftet, die sieben Menschen auf dem Gewissen hatte. Sie wurde zum Tode verurteilt und 2002 hingerichtet. Die Filmemacher, die am Tage vor der Hinrichtung noch mit der Mörderin redeten, erzählen die Geschichte einer psychisch schwer gestörten Frau und ihrer Taten, nehmen aber auch das amerikanische Justizsystem ins Visier.
