Dort trifft er dann auf den nächsten Gefährten Hige, der sich Kiba auch gleich anschließt. Schlussendlich taucht dann auch der vierte Wolf auf, Toboe, der nach Essen sucht und durch die Seitenstraßen streift. Tsume und Toboe sind auf der Flucht vor der Polizei, woraufhin sie dann endlich auf Kiba und Hige treffen. Die 3 Wölfe lassen sich von der Geschichte, die ihnen Kiba über das Paradies erzählt so fesseln, dass sie sich gemeinsam auf die Suche danach machen. Zusammen verlassen sie Cold City und beginnen eine epische und fantastische Reise, auf der sie zusammenhalten müssen, denn Quent ist hinter ihnen her, ebenso wie der geheimnisvolle Lord Darcia.
