Der als Kind übergewichtige Makabe Masamune wurde in der Schule gnadenlos von einem Mädchen namens Adagaki Aki gemobbt und gehänselt. Eines Tages entschloss er sich, Rache an diesem Mädchen zu nehmen, woraufhin er ein strenges Regime der Selbstverbesserung und persönlicher Veränderung auf sich nimmt. Bis er eines Tages wie ein neuer Mensch wieder auftaucht, gutes Aussehen, beliebt, perfekte Noten und gut in Sport. Er geht zurück auf Akis Schule und ist nicht wiederzuerkennen. Nun ist Masamune-kun bereit, das Mädchen damit zu konfrontieren, das ihn vor vielen Jahren schikaniert hat und es ihr gleichzutun. Doch wird die Rache so süß sein wie gedacht?

Kumiko Oumae war schon in der Mittelschule im Brassband-Klub und spielt mit dem Gedanken diesem nun auch als frischgebackene Highschool-Schülerin beizutreten, selbst wenn das Können dieses Klubs klar unter ihrem alten liegt. Kumikos Pläne geraten jedoch ins Wanken, als sie feststellen muss, dass auch ihre frühere Mitschülerin Reina dort Mitglied wird, denn durch einen Vorfall bei einem Brassband-Wettbewerb, während ihrer Mittelschulzeit, haben sich die beiden entfremdet. Doch Kumiko stellt sich dieser nun doppelten Herausforderung: Ihrer Mitgliedschaft im Klub und ihrem erneuten Aufeinandertreffen mit Reina.
