Ann and Harold is a very early BBC television programme, and ran for five episodes, all broadcast in 1938. It is known to be the world's first drama serial ever transmitted, and explained the trials of a couple named Ann and Harold respectively, and starred Ann Todd. Little else is known about this programme. No material exists of the show today, as it was aired live before any means of recording programmes existed. In fact, it is unknown if even any photographs survive of this programme.

The Upright Citizens Brigade is an improvisational comedy and sketch comedy group that emerged from Chicago's ImprovOlympic in 1990. The most recent incarnation consists of Matt Besser, Amy Poehler, Ian Roberts, and Matt Walsh. The original incarnation of the group consisted of Besser, Ali Farahnakian, Drew Franklin, Adam McKay, Roberts, Rick Roman, and Horatio Sanz. Other early members included Neil Flynn, Armando Diaz, and Rich Fulcher.

Kilroy was a BBC One daytime chat show hosted by Robert Kilroy-Silk that began in 24 November 1986 and finished on 29 January 2004 after 18 years. The series was originally called Day to Day for the first two seasons, and renamed to Kilroy in September 1988.

Talk Back Live was a talk show on CNN that lasted from 1994 until 2003. It aired from 3 to 4 pm Eastern Time and was hosted at various times by Susan Rook, Bobbie Battista, Jeff Hullinger, Karyn Bryant and Arthel Neville. The audience participation show originated from a specially constructed stage in the atrium of the CNN Center. It was canceled in favor of extending Live From for an additional hour.

This is Your Life is a British biographical television documentary, based on the 1952 American show of the same name. It was hosted by Eamonn Andrews from 1955 until 1964, and then from 1969 until his death in 1987 aged 64. Michael Aspel then took up the role of host until the show ended in 2003. It returned in 2007 as a one-off special presented by Trevor McDonald, which to date was its most recent airing. In the show the host surprises a special guest, before taking them through their life with the assistance of the 'big red book'. Both celebrities and non-celebrities have been 'victims' of the show. The show was originally broadcast live, and over its run it has alternated between being broadcast on the BBC and on ITV.

Sie ist hochintelligent und will unbedingt Karriere machen. Der jüngste Sohn Ben ist anfangs neun Jahre alt und bewundert seinen großen Bruder Mike. Später kommt noch Töchterchen Chrissy dazu, außerdem nehmen die Seavers gegen Ende der Serie den Straßenjungen Luke auf, der jedoch nach einer Weile zu seinem leiblichen Vater zurückkehrt.

Die Protagonistinnen sind vier New Yorker Frauen, deren amouröse und sexuelle Erlebnisse und Freundschaft ebenso wie ihre Auseinandersetzungen, Diskussionen und Gedanken zu fast allen Fragen menschlicher Beziehungen dargestellt werden.
