The Real Ghostbusters ist eine US-amerikanische Zeichentrickserie aus dem Ghostbusters-Franchise. Die Serie lief von 1986 bis 1991 und wurde von Columbia Pictures Television, DiC Enterprises und Coca-Cola Telecommunications produziert. "The Real" wurde dem Titel nach einem Streit mit Filmation und seinen Ghost Busters-Eigenschaften hinzugefügt. Die Serie setzt die Abenteuer der paranormalen Ermittler Dr. Peter Venkman, Dr. Egon Spengler, Dr. Ray Stantz, Winston Zeddemore, ihrer Sekretärin Janine Melnitz und ihres Maskottchengeistes Slimer fort. Es gab auch zwei fortlaufende Real Ghostbusters-Comics, von denen einer monatlich von Now Comics in den USA und der andere wöchentlich von Marvel Comics in Großbritannien veröffentlicht wurde, und eine beliebte Spielzeuglinie von Kenner.
