Hauptsächlich weibliche Gäste ermordete Holmes, auch Folterungen und Vergewaltigungen mussten die Opfer über sich ergehen lassen. Der mit einem Doktortitel ausgezeichnete Hotelinhaber wirkte nach außen hin, wie ein netter Gentleman, kannte aber bei seiner sadistischen Mordsucht schnell keine Grenzen mehr. Die Doku-Serie zeigt, wie die unmenschlichen Fallen in dem Hotel genutzt wurden und auch wie der Mörder einige Zeit später endlich dingfest gemacht wurde.

Catfish Brasil ist die brasilianische Version der amerikanischen Fernsehsendung Catfish, die auf dem Dokumentarfilm Catfish aus dem Jahr 2010 basiert.
