Nun kann man die "jugendliche Frische" seines Spiels (New York Times) anhand einer reinen Bach-CD mit vier Klavierkonzerten bewundern. Frays Bach-Spiel inspirierte den Regisseur Bruno Monsaingeon zu der faszinierenden Dokumentation "Swing, sing and think". In Frays Spiel mischen sich philosophische Tiefe und sinnliche Beredtheit, Virtuosität trifft geistreiche Gestaltung der komplexen Form. Solche Superlative in alle Richtungen sind selten bei jungen Pianisten. Fray, der dieses Jahr auch in New York debütierte, strahlt sie mit solcher Faszination aus, dass er bereits zum Mittelpunkt einer Dokumentation geworden ist.Sie stellt Frays Auseinandersetzung mit Bach und insbesondere die Zusammenarbeit mit der Deutschen Kammerphilharmonie Bremen in den Mittelpunkt, die der Pianist vom Klavier aus leitet.
