A single man has worked most of his life in a supermarket. One night, he unexpectedly meets with his father, and the two are faced with the question of the reasons for their separation.

After reading an article about hypnotic regression, a woman whose maternal grandfather died when she was only three years old contacts the hypnotic subject named in the article believing that he is the reincarnation of her grandfather, and hoping that she can learn the truth about how he died.

Mit der Besetzung der Krim 2014 folgen unter Putin erneut zahlreiche Repressionen. Mit politischer Willkür werden Tataren verhaftet und zu langen Strafen verurteilt. Der Film zeigt mehrere Frauen, deren Männer inhaftiert sind und mit großem Engagement versuchen, mit Klagen die Situation ihrer Männer zu verbessern, die nur sporadisch Kontakt zu ihrer Familie haben.

Central focus is placed on Hiroshi Araki, a young man who finds himself elevated to chief spokesman for Aum after its leaders are arrested. Araki faces extreme hostility from the Japanese public, who find it hard to believe that most followers of the cult had no idea of the attacks and even harder to understand why these followers remain devoted to the religion, if not the violence.

Zeitgleich beginnt der Kopfgeldjäger Muruk, der Ean schon aus manch einer Zwangslage befreien musste, zu ahnen, dass eine fremde Präsenz in seinen Körper eingedrungen ist. Als es der Gruppe endlich gelingt, in die Gegenwart überzuwechseln, finden sie dort brachiale Verwüstung vor: Die Freisetzung der Substanz Haava durch den Alienanführer Controller forderte bereits Tausende von Leben. Ean, Thunder und Muruk bleibt nicht viel Zeit, die Außerirdischen zur Strecke zu bringen und die Menschheit zu retten.
