Mari Gilbert searches for the truth behind what happened to her daughter Shannan, a sometime escort who disappeared after a ‘date’ on Long Island. After Shannan fails to come home, her mother Mari knows something is terribly wrong. Pleading to police to take her concerns seriously, she keeps pushing the police for answers. Mari’s insistence that her daughter not be overlooked eventually leads to a horror hidden on Long Island for more than a decade – 19 bodies of young women discovered buried in shallow graves along Ocean Parkway in the area of Jones Beach State Park.

Pretty Bloody: The Women of Horror is a television documentary film that premiered on the Canadian cable network Space on February 25, 2009. The hour-long documentary examines the experiences, motivations and impact of the increasing number of women engaged in horror fiction, with producers Donna Davies and Kimberlee McTaggart of Canada's Sorcery Films interviewing actresses, film directors, writers, critics and academics. The documentary was filmed in Toronto, Canada; and in Los Angeles, California and New York City, New York in the US.

Seit einigen Jahren arbeitet Max jetzt schon als Anwalt. Früher war er jedoch ein zu einer wahren Kampfmaschine ausgebildeter Elitesoldat der U.S. Marines. Mit Hilfe von Gerichtsmedizinerin Dr. Delaney sowie der Cops Vasquez und Santiago findet er heraus, dass der Gangsterboss Ellis für all diese Taten verantwortlich ist. Offenbar hatte Jerry eine große Summe von Ellis‘ Geld verloren. Nun fordert der Verbrecher den Betrag von Max zurück und verspricht im Gegenzug, dafür dann dessen Mädchen freizulassen. Angetrieben von Rachegedanken versucht Max mit allen ihm zur Verfügung stehenden Mitteln das Geld aufzutreiben. Er weiß: Nur so kann er Ellis gegenübertreten, seine Tochter befreien und den Schurken eliminieren …
