NUDE explores perceptions of nudity in art by chronicling the creative process of photographer David Bellemere as he's commissioned by NU Muses founder Steve Shaw to shoot a fine art calendar of nude photographs.

Ein bißchen ungemütlich wird es Hannes allerdings, als die junge Technologin Kati Klee und der neue Parteisekretär Werner Horrath auf der Baustelle erscheinen. Hannes sieht seine „Unangreifbarkeit“ und seinen Ruf gefährdet, weil Horrath eine durchaus interessante Persönlichkeit ist, die den Vergleich mit Balla nicht zu scheuen braucht. Und Kati Klee zwingt Hannes, ein bißchen die Draufgängermaske zu lüften und etwas von seinem wahren Wesen preiszugeben. Balla verliebt sich in Kati. Aber auch Horrath liebt – trotz Frau und Kind, an denen er hängt und die ihn in Rostock erwarten – die junge Technologin. Er verstrickt sich in Lügen und die Lüge fordert ihren Tribut. Die enge Beziehung der drei Menschen, die zunächst auch wirklich dem Werk zugute kam, wird zerstört.
