Filmed April 12, 2003 at a benefit concert held at and for The Anthology Film Archives, the international center for the preservation, study, and exhibition of avant-garde and independent cinema. In addition to screening films for the public, AFA houses a film museum, research library and art gallery. The event, which raised money for the Archives and celebrated the life and work of avant-garde film maker Stan Brakhage, featured Sonic Youth providing an improvised instrumental collaboration with silent Brakhage’s films. The band performed with drummer/percussionist Tim Barnes (Essex Green, Jukeboxer, Silver Jews).

Kuso no Sora Tobu Kikaitachi (Imaginary Flying Machines) is a 2002 Japanese animated short film produced by Studio Ghibli for their near exclusive use in the Ghibli Museum. It features director Hayao Miyazaki as the narrator, in the form of a humanoid pig, reminiscent of Porco from Porco Rosso, telling the story of flight and the many machines imagined to achieve it.

Um seinen nervtötenden Stiefsohn-in-spe Linus zu imponieren und dessen Mutter Mara von seinen Stiefvater-Qualitäten zu überzeugen, muss der grundehrliche Polier Fred Linus’ größten Wunsch erfüllen. Nichts wünscht sich der kleine Intrigant mehr als einen Autogramm-Basketball von Alba Berlin. Der wird jedoch nach jedem Spiel immer in die Behinderten-Tribüne geworfen. Beim nächsten Basketball-Match wird Fred von seinem Kumpel Alex daher im Rollstuhl auf die Behindertentribüne gefahren. Und Fred kann den Ball sogar ergattern. Doch die Freude währt nur kurz. Denn das Vereinsmanagement hat einen Imagefilm in Auftrag gegeben. Die Dreharbeiten übernimmt die Jungregisseurin Denise, die den vermeintlich stummen und hilflosen Fred gleich in ihr großes Herz schließt. Fred ist gefangen in seiner eigenen Rolle.

Auf deren Hochzeit lebt William sein Schwulsein so richtig aus und erlebt ein Wiedersehen mit seinem Jugendfreund und -lover, welcher jetzt die Rolle des Bräutigam spielt. Als Schwesterherz die beiden dann auch noch auffordert, da weiter zu machen wo sie damals aufgehört haben, kommt die Hochzeitsparty so richtig ins Rollen... "verzaubert Filmfestival" Ein Film, der den Betrachter mit seiner überwältigenden Bilderflut in eine traumhafte Gefühlswelt entführt. Ein einzigartiger Film, dessen Auszeichnungen für sich sprechen.
