Das atemberaubend schöne Märchen nach Motiven aus „Tausendundeine Nacht“ ist der erste abendfüllende Animationsfilm der Filmgeschichte. Von 1923 bis 1926 entstanden etwa 250.000 Einzelaufnahmen auf einem Tricktisch, fast 96.000 fanden für den Film Verwendung.
