At the end of September 1941, Soviet artillery troops in besieged Leningrad realize that pretty soon they will fire their last shot, and after that the defense of the city will be doomed. Devil in the disguise of Master Ondrej works in Tomás's workshop and protects Alena against various courtiers and the ruler of town. But finally he falls in love with Alena himself and becomes her lover.

Die geile Atmosphäre dieses Konzertes von Bruce Springsteen vom November 2006, daß als Promotour zu seiner CD "We Shall Overcome – The Seeger Sessions" in Dublin ablief, sperrt sich gegen den offenen Blick. Dabei hat dieser Livemitschnitt alles, was einen Springsteen der Neuzeit ausmacht: Blues, Boogie Woogie, Gospel, Country-Folk und –Rock. Altes und neues von Springsteen und traditionelles amerikanisches Liedgut bescherten dem Publikum ein prallvolles Liveerlebnis. Peter Seegers Evergreen "We Shall Overcome" fehlt natürlich nicht bei einer Veranstaltung, die das gute alte Amerika in den Himmel hebt. Das ist Springsteen allein im nicht vorhandenen Scheinwerferlicht, nuschelt sich überzeugend durch den Text und bestätigt allen, die guten Willens sind, daß das Gute am Ende gewinnt.
