Der Film zeigt mehrere Frauen, deren Männer inhaftiert sind und mit großem Engagement versuchen, mit Klagen die Situation ihrer Männer zu verbessern, die nur sporadisch Kontakt zu ihrer Familie haben.

KoRn - Live in Montreux zeigt die Band in Originalbesetzung, die alle großen Tracks der letzten Jahre in eine Setlist packt und eine Show abliefert, die Live at Hammerstein einfach in den Schatten gestellt hat. Die Band, die sich 1993 gegründet und einen großen Grundstein für den Nu-Metal gelegt hat, bewies bei diesem Gig, dass sie auch nach über elfjährigem Bandbestehen immer noch abrockt. Dieser Auftritt aus dem Jahre 2004 war KoRns bisher letzte Performance in der Originalbesetzung, denn kurze Zeit später verließ Brian “Head” Welch die Band. Bekannte Lieder wie “Got The Life”, “A.D.I.D.A.S.”, “Here To Stay” und “Freak On A Leash” werden natürlich auch zum Besten gegeben – und das mit einem ordentlichem KoRn-Sound, wie man ihn kennt. Bei “Shoots And Ladders” beweist Frontsänger Jonathan Davis mit seinem Dudelsack und Schottenrock, dass er es definitiv nicht verlernt hat, auch alleine das Publikum zu begeistern.

Was ursprünglich nur als Dokumentation zur Aufnahme des neuen Albums gedacht war, entwickelte sich schnell zur Psychoanalyse und Katharsis der Band, sämtliche bislang aufgestauten Konflikte, Probleme und Gedanken aufzuarbeiten und zu klären. Nicht selten standen Metallica dabei quasi kurz vor dem Aus, was in „Some Kind of Monster“ deutlich wird. Zur Aufarbeitung von all dem wurde speziell der Psychologen Phil Towle als Mediator eingestellt, dem es wohl mit zu verdanken ist, dass die Band bis heute Bestand hat.

Der amerikanische Komponist Ry Cooder nahm 1996 in Havanna mit legendären kubanischen Musikern das Album Buena Vista Social Club auf.
