Filmed April 12, 2003 at a benefit concert held at and for The Anthology Film Archives, the international center for the preservation, study, and exhibition of avant-garde and independent cinema. In addition to screening films for the public, AFA houses a film museum, research library and art gallery. The event, which raised money for the Archives and celebrated the life and work of avant-garde film maker Stan Brakhage, featured Sonic Youth providing an improvised instrumental collaboration with silent Brakhage’s films. The band performed with drummer/percussionist Tim Barnes (Essex Green, Jukeboxer, Silver Jews).

The Comsat Angels - the legendary post-punk band from Sheffield, England, live recording from Mensa Wilhelmstrausse, Tuebingen, West Germany, on December 12, 1981. They were initially active from 1978 to 1995 with basically this line-up. Named after the J. G. Ballard short story. They debuted in 1979 with the "Red Planet" three-track single. This release attracted Polydor A&R man Frank Neilson and the band signed a three-album recording contract. These three albums - "Waiting for a Miracle" (1980), which included the single "Independence Day", probably their best known song, "Sleep No More" (1981) and "Fiction" (1982) - are regarded by some as their best, but only sold modestly.

Für fundamentalistische Christen, die immer mehr Macht gewinnen, ist die Heidin eine Reizfigur. Für konservative Kräfte, die eine Frau mit Einfluss und Verstand nicht dulden, auch. Hypatias tragisches Ende ist damit vorgezeichnet.

Der 90-minütige Dokumentarfilm "Aghet" (armenisch: "die Katastrophe") von Eric Friedler erzählt von einem der dunkelsten Kapitel des Ersten Weltkriegs: dem Genozid an den Armeniern, bei dem bis zu 1,5 Millionen Menschen im Osmanisch-Türkischen Reich starben. Dieser Völkermord wird allerdings bis heute von der Türkei als historische Tatsache nicht anerkannt und von der Welt weitgehend ignoriert. "Aghet" beschäftigt sich mit den politischen Motiven für das bis heute andauernde Schweigen. Für den Film wurde der Verlauf des Völkermordes aus zahlreichen historischen Quellen rekonstruiert.

Dieser Dokumentarfilm dreht sich um die Apollo-Missionen der USA, also um die große Zeit der US-Amerikanischen, bemannten Raumfahrt. Eine Besonderheit ist, daß lediglich Originalaufnahmen der Astronauten und anderer NASA-Mitarbeiter verwendet wurden, also kein Kommentar benutztr wurde, was dazu führt, daß nicht die Technik oder die Mission sondern vielmehr die Menschen im Mittelpunkt stehen.
