Filmed April 12, 2003 at a benefit concert held at and for The Anthology Film Archives, the international center for the preservation, study, and exhibition of avant-garde and independent cinema. In addition to screening films for the public, AFA houses a film museum, research library and art gallery. The event, which raised money for the Archives and celebrated the life and work of avant-garde film maker Stan Brakhage, featured Sonic Youth providing an improvised instrumental collaboration with silent Brakhage’s films. The band performed with drummer/percussionist Tim Barnes (Essex Green, Jukeboxer, Silver Jews).

Flug 409 (Red-Eye Special), eine Boeing 747 der Columbia Airlines, befindet sich auf dem Weg von Washington nach Los Angeles. Geführt wird die Maschine von Kapitän Stacy. Gleichzeitig macht sich der Geschäftsmann Scott Freeman aus New Mexico mit seiner Privatmaschine auf den Weg zu einem geschäftlichen Treffen in Idaho. Durch eine Schlechtwetterfront an der Westküste kann die Boeing Los Angeles nicht anfliegen. Flug 409 wird nach Salt Lake City umgeleitet. Dorthin wird auch Freemans Maschine beordert. Beide Maschinen befinden sich im Landeanflug auf Salt Lake City, wobei die 747 vor der Privatmaschine landen soll. Freeman fürchtet durch die Verspätung um den Verlust seines Geschäftes und erleidet einen schweren Herzanfall. Seine Maschine steigt unkontrolliert und gerät in die Flugbahn der Passagiermaschine. Freemans Maschine stößt mit der 747 zusammen und reißt dabei ein großes Loch in das Cockpit.

Fantozzi wird von seiner verheirateten Tochter aus dem Haus geworfen und stellt fest, dass er nur noch eine Woche zu leben hat. Seine treue Frau Pina organisiert für ihn eine Liebesnacht mit der Frau seiner Träume, Silvani. Als Fantozzi feststellt, dass es sich um eine falsche Diagnose handelte, erleidet er vor Freude einen Herzinfarkt und stirbt, doch im Paradies findet er einen Buddha, der ihn zur Reinkarnation verurteilt.

In einem Blumenkelch wird Däumelinchen geboren. Eine Hummel öffnet die Blüte und die Kleine geht auf Entdeckungsreise. Sie muß sich vor einem heiratslustigen Frosch in einer Nuss verstecken und landet auf einem Seerosenblatt. Ein Fisch beißt den Stiel des Blattes durch. Däumelinchen schwimmt den Bach hinab, bis sie von einem Maikäfer zum Tanz geholt wird. Der Tanz mißlingt und der Käfer stößt die Kleine vom Blatt in die Tiefe. Sie fällt in ein Spinnennetz und weiter auf eine Pusteblume. Mit einem Samenschirm segelt sie davon und landet wieder auf ihrem Blumenkelch. Der Herbststurm knickt die Blüte. Däumelinchen findet Unterschlupf bei einer Feldmaus. Dort pflegt sie eine kranke Schwalbe. Die Maus möchte Däumelinchen mit dem Maulwurf verheiraten, doch der Kleinen gelingt die Flucht mit Hilfe der Schwalbe. Beide fliegen in den sonnigen Süden.
