Die Métis-Medienkünstlerin Terril Calder wurde in Fort Frances, Kanada, geboren und lebt derzeit in Toronto. Sie studierte Bildende Kunst an der University of Manitoba mit den Schwerpunkten Zeichnen und Film. Der Fokus ihrer Arbeit liegt auf Stop-Motion-Projekten. Ihr Film „Snip“ erhielt bei der Berlinale 2017 im Wettbewerb von Generation 14plus eine lobende Erwähnung.
