Nach zehn Jahren Funkstille kehrt die Regisseurin in ihr ultraorthodoxes Heimatdorf in Israel zurück. Dort findet sie ein geheimes Familienarchiv, das sie ihr bisheriges Bild von ihrer Familie überdenken lässt. In der daraus entstandenen Dokumentation begibt sie sich auf eine Entdeckungsreise in die Vergangenheit ihrer Familie.

Finally reaching his destination, he is taken through all of the previous stages in a single instant and returned to the source of his journey.

Die Superheldenfamilie Thunderman wird nach einer missglückten Rettungsmission von der Großstadt zurück in die Vorstadt von Hiddenville geschickt. Dass Superschurke Dark Mayhem (Matt Mullins) wieder auftaucht, kommt ihnen da fast schon gelegen, doch dessen Pläne sind diesmal noch teuflischer als je zuvor, sodass die gesamte Familie Thunderman einmal mehr zusammenarbeiten muss, um sie zu durchkreuzen.

Um die historische Wiederkehr geht es hier laut den Berichten von älteren Krimtataren. Die muslimische Minderheit wurde 1944 unter Stalin von der Krim vertrieben, Ende der 80er gab es nach Protesten ein Zugeständnis von Gorbatschow. Mit der Besetzung der Krim 2014 folgen unter Putin erneut zahlreiche Repressionen. Mit politischer Willkür werden Tataren verhaftet und zu langen Strafen verurteilt. Der Film zeigt mehrere Frauen, deren Männer inhaftiert sind und mit großem Engagement versuchen, mit Klagen die Situation ihrer Männer zu verbessern, die nur sporadisch Kontakt zu ihrer Familie haben.
