Rund zehn Meter unter dem Meeresspiegel entdeckten Taucher hier eine 9.000 Jahre alte neolithische Siedlung. Da sich die Stätte über rund 40.000 Quadratmeter erstreckte, nahmen die archäologischen Grabungen insgesamt 25 Jahre in Anspruch.
