THE MINDS OF 99 – THREE DAYS IN THE PARK is a concert documentary film that follows the band and the individual members in the period leading up to, during, and after the magical weekend in the Park. This 15-minute DVD follows the adaptation of LOTR for the stage, and features rehearsal and show footage of the initial production in Toronto as well as interviews with the creative team now preparing for the London production.

Als der renommierte Dirigent Daniel Dareus einen schweren körperlichen Zusammenbruch erleidet, beendet er seine internationale Karriere und zieht sich in sein Heimatdorf in Nordschweden zurück. Gleich nachdem Jake Blues aus dem Gefängnis entlassen wird, besuchen er und sein Bruder Elwood das Waisenhaus, in dem sie großgezogen wurden. Dort müssen sie erfahren, dass das Waisenhaus an das Kultusministerium verkauft werden soll. Es gibt nur eine Chance auf Rettung: Innerhalb von elf Tagen muss die Grundsteuer bezahlt werden. Die Brüder beschließen das Geld aufzutreiben, indem sie ihre alte Blues-Band wieder zusammenstellen und ein großes Konzert geben.

Lara lebt in zwei Welten: in der ihrer taubstummen Eltern und in ihrer eigenen, in der Geräusche etwas ganz Normales sind. Schon als Kind unterhält sie sich mit ihren Eltern in der Gebärdensprache. Doch dann entdeckt Lara als Teenager ihr Interesse für die Musik und beginnt, Klarinette zu spielen. Ihr Vater Martin interpretiert dies als Affront gegen seine Taubheit und distanziert sich immer mehr von seiner Tochter. Erst durch den überraschenden Tod seiner Frau findet er allmählich Verständnis für Lara - doch der Zwist hat schon zu lange gedauert...
