Slade must navigate through the dark night on Coney Island as the vampires come out to feed including Alvara and her unwanted controlling Silas (Warren Chao). Slade and his ex-CIA cohort, Old Man, (Dave Sweeney) must figure out the way out of these challenges to make things right for themselves and the world at hand.

Shot on Mount Tamalpais, a spatial matrix replaces temporal causality with contiguous space. A view of landscape is taken apart, to be reconstituted through memory. The grid, a reference to the “veil of threads” invented by Albrecht Dürer as an aid for perspective drawing – to transfer vision to a sheet of paper – is used for an opposite effect – to disperse a landscape across time. The viewer is asked to remember the space as it passes and reconstitute it from memory, actively connecting the image across space and time.

Schließlich stellt sich Antwone seinen seelischen Verletzungen und unternimmt eine schmerzvolle Reise in die Untiefen der Vergangenheit.

Ein Film über den Maler Toulouse-Lautrec und das “Moulin Rouge”, das berühmte Varieté am Montmartre in Paris, das er über alles geliebt hat. Seit er als Kind bei einem Unfall verletzt wurde, war Toulouse-Lautrec verkrüppelt und wuchs nicht mehr weiter. Mit den Frauen hatte und auch sich selbst hatte er daher sein Leben lang Probleme, die sich auch nicht besserten, als er für das “Moulin Rouge” ein Plakat malte, durch das er von einem Tag auf den nächsten ein gefeierter Künstler wurde.

In seinen Gedanken ist Ramón immer noch jung, agil und bei den Frauen beliebt.
