Capturing Avatar is a feature length behind-the-scenes documentary about the making of Avatar. It uses footage from the film's development, as well as stock footage from as far back as the production of Titanic in 1995. Hello explores changes in two people’s working lives: a Mexican trash picker who separates and collects recyclable materials from landfills to sell by the kilo, and a German freelance computer-animation designer working for the advertising industry in Berlin. The double interview is controlled and manipulated by a computer-generated severed hand which Maria describes as an object once discovered in the trash while working in the violent northern town of Mexicali. This CGI hand was in turn produced by Max, who was born with no arms, and sought refuge in computer-imaging as a means to operate and manipulate a digital reality.

The film tells the story of three best friends named Ako, Aki and Awang, who are well-known in their village for their mischievous and humourous pranks. The trio work for Pak Man. One day, they are assigned to pick up his daughter Misha, who has just returned from overseas and dreams of becoming a doctor. The trio have been in love with her for a long time but she does not pay them any heed. When Misha is robbed by a snatch thief one day, she is rescued by a doctor named Shafiq. Her face reminds the doctor of his late wife, and he begins to pursue her, which annoys the trio.

Die Countryband “Dixie Chicks” war 2003 auf der Höhe ihres Erfolges, als sie es wagten, öffentlich Kritik an George W. Bushs Irakkrieg zu üben. Das löste in den USA im konservativen Lager eine Woge der Empörung aus, brachte den Musikerinnen aber auch einigen Respekt ein. Diese Dokumentation beleuchtet die Anstrengungen der Band, aus dieser Krise zu kommen.

Sie waren die erste britische Supergruppe, lange vor den Beatles. 1959 hatten sie als "The Drifters" angefangen, Cliff Richard, damals das Rock-and-Roll-Idol Britanniens, auf seinen Platten begleitet. Dann, nach der Umbenennung wegen der Verwechslungsgefahr mit der gleichnamigen US-Gesangstruppe, waren sie mehr als die Schatten von Cliff. 1960 hatten die Shadows mit „Apache“ ihren ersten Singlehit, unzählige sollten folgen. Eigentlich hatte die Band nicht mehr gemacht, als den Sound des US-amerikanischen Sologitarristen Duane Eddy zu kopieren. Aber ihren Meister haben sie dann um Längen geschlagen. Selbst, wenn sie Titel ihres Vorbilds wie „Shazam“ nachspielten. 2004/2005 gingen Leadgitarrist Hank Marvin und Rhythmusgitarrist Bruce Welch zusammen mit Schlagzeuger Brian Bennett, der Anfang der Sechziger dazu gestoßen war, zum letzten Mal auf Tour. Das vorliegende Konzert wurde im walischen Cardiff aufgenommen.

Und bald brechen alte Konflikte wieder auf. Doch die Musiker wollen sich und der Welt unbedingt noch einmal beweisen, dass sie es noch drauf haben.

Martin Scorsese erhält den Auftrag, die Rolling Stones bei zwei Auftritten im Oktober 2006 im New Yorker Beacon Theatre - von Bill Clinton initiierte Benefizkonzerte anlässlich seines 60. Geburtstags - zu filmen. Bis kurz vor Beginn ist es ihm nicht möglich, eine Setlist zu bekommen. Dann legen die Stones los mit "Jumpin' Jack Flash", und es gibt kein Zurück mehr. Zu Gastauftritten kommen Jack White, Buddy Guy und Christina Aguilera auf die Bühne, aber die Stars sind natürlich die Stones selbst.
