Oh Yeah! was an animation project guided by Fred Seibert, former Creative Director of MTV Networks and President of Hanna-Barbera. Produced by Frederator Studios, it ran as part of Nickelodeon's Nicktoons lineup, and in its second season, was hosted by Kenan Thompson of All That and Kenan & Kel fame; Then later by Josh Server, from All That, for its third season. Bill Burnett composed the show's theme music. Oh Yeah! Cartoons was distributed by Nelvana outside of the United States.

Eines Tages stört er seine missmutige, eigenbrötlerische Klassenkameradin Yozora bei einer Unterhaltung mit ihrer imaginären Freundin Tomo. So entstand "Rinjinbu", ein Klub speziell für Leute, die wenig Freunde haben. Doch ergeben sich durch diese Ansammlung an sozial unerfahrenen Teenagern auch allerlei Probleme.

Frisch auf der Highschool und aufgrund eines beruflichen Umzugs seiner Eltern nun auch erstmals unabhängig in einem Wohnheim; Kazunari sieht sich in einen neuen Lebensabschnitt eintreten und alles, was ihm jetzt eigentlich noch fehlt, ist eine Freundin. Intelligent und kultiviert soll sie sein und - wie es der Zufall so will ‒ trifft Kazunari in der Schulbibliothek genau auf solch ein Mädchen, in das er sich auf den ersten Blick verliebt. Sein Vorhaben, seinem neuen Domizil gleich wieder den Rücken zu kehren, wird jedoch schnell verworfen, als er beim Verlassen vor der Tür unerwartet auf das Mädchen aus der Bibliothek trifft. Sie stellt sich als Ritsu vor, eine der Bewohnerinnen des Hauses.

Was zunächst klingt wie ein blöder Scherz, entpuppt sich tatsächlich als die Wahrheit. Doch kann so trotzdem eine echte Freundschaft entstehen, die über eine einzelne Woche hinausgeht?

Ein Abenteuer in einer fremdartigen Welt mit niedlichen Begleiterinnen und videospielähnlichen Kräften – klingt nach einem Jackpot! Weit gefehlt für den melancholischen Autor Osamu Dazai, der buchstäblich lieber tot umfallen würde. Videospiele waren noch in weiter Ferne, als er im frühen 20. Jahrhundert in eine andere Welt verfrachtet wurde. All seine fantastischen Abenteuer, stehen seinem poetischen Traum, den perfekten Ort zum Sterben zu finden, nur im Weg. Und egal, wie sehr er seine Haut auch riskiert, es scheint sich immer alles zum Guten zu wenden, ganz zum Leidwesen von Dazai.
