Aus Verärgerung darüber lehnte Ms. Briggs alle Vorschläge für die Talentshow ab, worauf Carly auf die Idee kam, eine eigene Webshow zu produzieren, um Kindern eine Chance zu geben, ihre unentdeckten und eigenartigen Talente zu zeigen. Die Webshow bekam den Namen iCarly, nach ihrer Erfinderin Carly. Das „i“ steht dabei für Internet. Die Idee für den Namen hatte Freddie, der Technische Produzent. Die Show läuft einmal pro Woche und wird immer live gesendet.
