The 1940s House is a British historical reality television programme made by Wall to Wall/Channel 4 in 2001 about a modern family that tries to the live as a typical middle-class family in London during The Blitz of World War II. Nach Jokehnen kommen zunehmend Kriegsgefangene aus den besetzten Ländern, außerdem Familien aus Grosstädten, die in Ostpreußen Schutz vor den immer stärker werdenden Luftangriffen der Alliierten suchen.Der Rußland-Feldzug ist in vollem Gange und es gibt die ersten gefallen Dorfbewohner. Ende 1944 steht dann die Rote Armee vor Ostpreußen.
