Gleichzeitig sind dies die letzten Aufnahmen der Band mit ihrem langjährigen Schlagzeuger Keith Knudsen, der im Februar 2005 starb.

Dummerweise tauchen in der Gegend dann ein paar Teenager auf, die hier ihre Ferien verbringen wollen und noch dummer ist es, dass sie ausgerechnet die Holzhütte, in der es zu dem tragischen Entführungsfall kam, als Unterkunft ausgewählt haben. Einer der Teenager hat reiche Verwandte, denen die Hütte ursprünglich gehört.

Die Familie Henderson verbringt ihren Urlaub in den Rocky Mountains. Auf der Heimfahrt von dem Jagdausflug fährt Vater George ein großes, haariges Wesen an. Schnell erkennt die Familie, dass es sich hierbei um das zotttelige Fabelwesen Bigfoot handelt. Kurzerhand laden sie das pelzige Ungetüm auf ihr Autodach und fahren damit zurück in die Stadt. Als Bigfoot in der Nacht in der Garage der Hendersons erwacht, beginnt er schnell das Leben der Familie auf den Kopf zu stellen. Zunächst fürchtet sich die vierköpfige Familie vor dem haarigen Wesen, doch bald erkennen sie, dass Bigfoot im Grunde genommen ein harmloser Pelzberg ist. Schnell freunden sich die Hendersons mit dem gutmütigen Bigfoot an und taufen ihn auf den Namen Harry. Als die Nachbarn jedoch das ungewöhnliche Haustier entdecken, beginnt die Jagd auf das vermeintliche Ungetüm.
