The Russian version of the movie "Fight Club" is not just a Russian version of a well-known cult film, it is the result and of the hard work of two young men and their love for cinema, Alexander Kukhar (GOLOBON-TV) and Dmitry Ivanov (GRIZLIK FILM) , who are responsible for this project, from the development of its idea and the selection of the cast, to the organization of filming and financial support. Filming lasted a whole year. Paul, ein Broadway-Schauspieler, bemerkt, daß er mit seinem Leben nicht mehr zufrieden ist. Als er von einem Unternehmen hört, bei dem man seine Seele deponieren kann, nimmt er das Angebot gleich wahr, muß aber erkennen, daß er weder im Beruf noch im Familienleben glücklicher dadurch wird. Also mietet er die Seele eines russischen Dichters, was ihm im Theater viel Applaus einbringt, seine Frau aber befremdlich findet. Also will er seine eigene Seele zurück, was aber problematisch ist, weil sich diese inzwischen in Russland befindet. Gemeinsam mit Nina, einer Russin, die Seelen in die USA transportiert, will er sie zurückbekommen, und herausfinden, was inzwischen aus ihr geworden ist.

Die Gesellschaft wird von einer Schicht an Leistungsträgern getragen, von fröhlich-motivierten Menschen einer lichten, freundlichen, transparenten, perfekt funktionierenden Mittelschichtwelt; die sogenannten Minimumbezieher werden in Schlafburgen ruhiggestellt. Die überwältigende Mehrheit der Leistungsträger fühlt sich glücklich und selbstverwirklicht. Für den Rest von ihnen hat man eine outgesourcte Agentur installiert: "Life Guidance" soll auch sie zu optimalen Menschen machen.
