Später in der Nacht, bricht jemand ohne ersichtlichen Grund in dieses Institut ein und tötet dabei einen Wachmann. Der neugierige Arno beschließt darauf, ein wenig auf eigene Faust nachzuforschen und erhält dabei Hilfe von dem Reperter Carlo Giordani. Bald folgt eine Serie an mysteriösen Morden, die mit dem Ereignis im Institut zusammenhängen zu scheint.
