Todd ist sich gewiss, dass er richtig liegt, denn seine Kenntnisse in deutscher Geschichte sind gut. Unerkannt wohnt der Massenmörder mit der Identität eines ukrainischen Einwohners in derselben Stadt wie Todd. Der Junge ersinnt einen Plan: Er beginnt, den alten Mann zu erpressen - will der nicht an die Behörden ausgeliefert werden, muss er Todd in allen Einzelheiten von seinen vielen Gräueltaten berichten. So ist es Todd möglich, geheime Macht- und Gewaltphantasien auszuleben. Dussander willigt ein, doch schon bald erkennt Todd, dass er in der bizarren Beziehung längst nicht mehr den Ton angibt. Er will aussteigen, bekommt vom Alt-Nazi aber erklärt, dass er nun bereits zu tief drinstecke. Damit hat Dussander alles andere als unrecht.
