Die Handlung spielt im Zweiten Weltkrieg in der Slowakei und handelt von einem Handwerker namens Tono, der das Angebot bekommt, das Geschäft einer alten, jüdischen Frau übernehmen zu dürfen. Er geht darauf ein, die alte Frau jedoch denkt, er sei auf der Suche nach Arbeit und stellt ihm ein.
