Mit Hilfe von Gerichtsmedizinerin Dr. Delaney sowie der Cops Vasquez und Santiago findet er heraus, dass der Gangsterboss Ellis für all diese Taten verantwortlich ist. Offenbar hatte Jerry eine große Summe von Ellis‘ Geld verloren. Nun fordert der Verbrecher den Betrag von Max zurück und verspricht im Gegenzug, dafür dann dessen Mädchen freizulassen. Angetrieben von Rachegedanken versucht Max mit allen ihm zur Verfügung stehenden Mitteln das Geld aufzutreiben. Er weiß: Nur so kann er Ellis gegenübertreten, seine Tochter befreien und den Schurken eliminieren …
