The story of how one Pittsburgh boy’s fascination with monsters drove him to the very top of the Hollywood food chain. As the Lich King's zombie legions ravage the world, a cursed young sorceress embarks on a quest to obtain a weapon from the gods. Its a special night for the Buoitton Family. Charles and Linda, extremely wealthy couple, invite their closest friends and family members to dinner. Linda confesses that she had poisoned him and she had poisoned everyone in the room to get the money. The guests have one choice: Kill one person among them and take the blame for both murders to get the antidote or - DIE in one hour. What follows is an hysterical exchange between the over stressed members of the group who, in an attempt to establish who should die and who should be the killer, reveal all the skeletons in the closet they have been hiding from each-other for years.

Vater und Mutter gehen an einem sonnigen Tag mit ihrer Tochter Dollie spazieren. Ein Zigeuner möchte der Mutter Gefäße verkaufen. Als sie keinerlei Interesse zeigt, versucht er, sie zu bestehlen. Ihr Ehemann eilt herbei, verprügelt und verjagt den Zigeuner. Aus Rache entführt dieser Dollie und versteckt sie in seinem Lager in einem Fass. Obwohl die Eltern umgehend ihre Tochter suchen und auch den Pferdewagen des Zigeuners nicht auslassen, finden sie das Mädchen nicht. Die Zigeuner laden das Fass in den Wagen und ziehen weiter. Beim Durchqueren eines Flusses verlieren sie es aber, so dass es im Wasser treibt und gefährliche Stromschnellen passieren muss, ehe es schließlich von einem Jungen ans Ufer gezogen wird. Der herbeieilende Vater befreit Dollie und nimmt sie wieder in seine Arme.

Er nimmt uns mit in die Zeit, in der im Iran die Revolution die Macht an sich riss, erzählt vom Leben zwischen den Fronten. Daniel Asadi Faezi skizziert die Geschichte seines Vaters und von dessen Brüdern – ausgehend von einer Korrespondenz, die 30 Jahre lang im Keller lag.

Vardas autobiografische Erzählung beginnt mit akustischen und haptisch-materiellen Erinnerungsspuren: die Möbel im Schlafzimmer der Eltern, das Quietschen der Schranktür, das handbetriebene Grammophon auf dem die Mutter manchmal Schuberts Unvollendete hörte. Die Regisseurin versucht ein Re-enactment, in dem sie zur unvollendeten Symphonie das Quietschen eines Scharniers montiert: eine Tonmontage aus klassischer Musik und musique concrète. Dieses Arrangement ist ein Vorspiel innerhalb der Titelsequenz, die die Erinnerungsspuren aus der Kindheit in eine Installation transformieren: ein Bettgestell als Perspektivrahmen am Strand.
