Deloris ist eine lebensfreudige Person, die in einer Bar als Sängerin arbeitet. Eines Tages wird sie jedoch Zeuge, wie ihr Freund Vincent, ein lokaler Mafia-Boss, einen seiner Feinde kaltblütig liquidiert. Da Vincent es nicht mag, wenn Zeugen anwesend sind, versucht er Deloris ebenfalls zu ermorden, diese kann aber in letzter Sekunde noch entkommen und findet Schutz bei der Polizei. Aus Sicherheit vor ihrem mörderischen Freund wird Deloris in ein Zeugenschutzprogramm gepackt und an einen Ort gebracht, in dem sie niemand vermuten würde - ein Konvent in San Francisco. Hat sie anfangs noch Schwierigkeiten einen Platz unter den Nonnen zu finden, ändert sich dies relativ schnell, als sie die Leitung des Kloster-Chors übernimmt und damit zu einer regionalen Berühmtheit wird. Durch die neuerliche Aufmerksamkeit, schafft es aber auch Vincent herauszufinden wo seine dringend gesuchte Zeugin sich aufhält…

2019 feierten Metallica das 20-jährige Jubiläum ihres legendären zweiten Livealbums, des Orchesteralbums »S&M«. Dafür spielten die Metallegenden im September ein mehr als zweistündiges Konzert im Chase Center in San Francisco, und zwar wieder gemeinsam mit dem San Francisco Symphony Orchestra. Metallica spielen Songs aus allen Alben und lassen so alle Karrierephasen in das Konzert mit einfließen. Unvergängliche Kult-Songs wie "Master of Puppets", "One" und natürlich das unkaputtbare "Nothing else matters" fehlen ebenso wenig wie jüngere Stücke und Fan-Lieblinge. Darunter "Confusion" und "Halo on Fire" vom letzen Album oder "The day that neve comes" vom 2008er-Werk "Death Magnetic". Wie schon vor 20 Jahren ergänzen sich die harten, metallischen Klänge wunderbar mit den sanften, klassischen Passagen des Orchesters. Höhepunkte: Die nur vom San Francisco Symphony vorgetragene Skythische Suite von Prokofiev und der erstmals seit Jahren live präsentierte Klassiker "Anesthesia" von 1983.
