Dabei haben sie allerlei Abenteuer erlebt, aber jetzt wird es nochmal richtig chaotisch, denn die zwei Knalltüten verschlägt es dieses Mal ins Jahr 1793 und damit mitten rein in die Französische Revolution. Als ob ein Besuch in einem Land im Umbruch und voller Tumulte nicht schon haarig genug ist, bringen die mittelalterlichen Haudegen zu allem Überfluss auch noch schlechte Angewohnheiten und Erfahrungen aus der Neuzeit mit. Dass zu diesem Zeitpunkt noch keine Glühbirnen existierten, ist noch das geringste Problem für die mit modernen Flüchen um sich schmeißenden Besucher mit zweifelhaftem Benehmen. Aber wie kommen sie nur wieder aus diesem Schlamassel heraus?

Wie der Zufall es will, wird Takigakure just in diesem Augenblick von einer Gruppe abtrünniger Ninjas angegriffen, die es auf das sogenannte Heldenwasser abgesehen haben. Nun ist es an der Zeit zu zeigen, aus welchem Holz die Ninjas aus Konoha geschnitzt sind.

Ein Bombenanschlag auf die neue U-Bahn-Linie erschüttert Tokyo. Nur Conan bzw. Shinichi kann verhindern, dass jemand bei der Explosion zu Schaden kommt. Schnell erhärtet sich der Verdacht, dass das Attentat in Zusammenhang mit einem Dammbau in Kitanosawa steht. Also fährt Conan mit seinen Freunden zum Schneefestival in das Dorf, um sich einen Überblick über die Lage zu verschaffen. Doch während die Detective Boys noch den Schnee genießen, wird eine Leiche gefunden. Conan muss so schnell wie möglich herausfinden, wer der Mörder ist und worauf er es eigentlich abgesehen hat. Denn dem ganzen Dorf droht eine noch viel größere Gefahr.
