Dhaneshwar Pitamber, has four daughters. All the four daughters are not ready to marry, each one having their own reason. The daughters always play mischievous tricks on the one coming with a proposal of marriage, and their gang leader is the youngest daughter Durga. Kader Khan is so desperate to get his daughters married that he is ready to give a dowry of five crores to each son-in-law. Raja and Kanahaiya are small time con men at the airport. Raju Patel is an NRI from America who comes to India to get married to one of the daughters of Dhaneshwar.

Filmed April 12, 2003 at a benefit concert held at and for The Anthology Film Archives, the international center for the preservation, study, and exhibition of avant-garde and independent cinema. In addition to screening films for the public, AFA houses a film museum, research library and art gallery. The event, which raised money for the Archives and celebrated the life and work of avant-garde film maker Stan Brakhage, featured Sonic Youth providing an improvised instrumental collaboration with silent Brakhage’s films. The band performed with drummer/percussionist Tim Barnes (Essex Green, Jukeboxer, Silver Jews).

Von Dvorák erklingt die Konzertouvertüre „Karneval“, Stargast Renée Fleming singt eine Arie aus der Oper „Armida“ und das berühmte Lied an den Mond aus „Rusalka“; dann folgen von Tschaikowsky Stücke aus der „Dornröschen-Suite“ und von Rachmaninow die orchestrierten Lieder „Sumerki“ (Twilight), „Ne poy, krasavitsa, pri mne“ (Sing not to me, beautiful maiden) und „Vesenniye vodi“ (Spring waters), sowie von Humperdinck das Vorspiel aus der Oper „Hänsel und Gretel“. Eine Besonderheit ist im Programm sicherlich das Thema der Eule Hedwig aus dem berühmten Soundtrack von „Harry Potter“. Großartige Musik von Strawinsky aus dem „Feuervogel“ (Danse infernale, Berceuse, Finale) und die „Balletsuite“ (1919) sowie Zugaben beschließen ein ungewöhnliches und spannendes Programm.

A man, whom we don't identify, kills himself with his razor because he can no longer bear the complaints of his wife, whose face we can't see well either. An impressionistic work with very close shots that cut out reality until, for example, the faces of the characters are omitted. A kind of description and brief chronicle of daily life in a house for a few minutes serves as a framework for the irruption of an unusual tragedy. Filmed without sound, it lacks any subsequent dialogue, although a piano band with a jazzy air has been added.

The police detective Waldo, of immersed and circumspect disposition and temper, investigates several crimes associated with indigenous rituals that occur in some regions of the Peruvian Andes. There we find a boy and a girl who are about to enter puberty and begin to interact with certain mythical beings, a supernatural belief very common in many Andean villages. A sinister character, pretending to be on a mission of faith, but imbued with religious dogmatism and intolerance, interrupts this peaceful scene as he casts an ominous shadow over these ancient Peruvian beliefs. Although Waldo's boss considers him inferior and distrusts his methods (a form of discrimination), the policeman continues his efforts to capture the "Extirpator of Idolatries.¨ At the same time, Waldo will resolve his own inner conflict which has troubled him all his life.
