Bald bricht Elia auf, um anderswo heimisch zu werden. Er geht in jene Länder, wo die Frauen frei sind und die Kunst so schön tolerant, wo die Parks öffentlich sind und niemand nachbarliche Zitronen stiehlt. Elia wird zum Kundschafter in den westlichsten Metropolen, Paris und New York. Auf seinen Streifzügen durch die Räume des Urbanen gerät er zwischen aggressive Parkbesucher, ferngesteuerte Touristen, rollende Polizisten und bis an die Zähne bewaffnete Spaziergänger. Erneut muss sich Elia wundern, doch aus dem Wundern wird bald ein nur zu bekanntes Befremden. Auch hier ist die Welt aus den Fugen geraten. Elia kehrt zu seinem Garten in Nazareth zurück und muss sich abermals wundern: über einen liebevoll gepflegten und gedeihenden Zitronenbaum.

Das bringt Jupp auf die Idee, etwas Vergleichbares zu inszenieren, um just im richtigen Moment als Einziger auf den Auslöser seiner Fotokamera zu drücken. Beim Versuch, sich Sprengstoff zu besorgen, erweckt er allerdings das Interesse der Unterwelt, die ebenfalls schnelles Geld wittert.
