Bharat, an architect refuses to sign a power project involving heavy kickbacks and heavier displacement (with so many scams in the air, what can one expect the plot to be). He is implicated in a plot and sent to jail. Unable to bear this humiliation, he commits suicide and Renu marries Deepak instead of repenting her beloved's loss. Now is the time for our 'Mrityudaata' to avenge the loss of his wife and his brother. He trades his scalpel for a machine gun and apron for a commando coat and cap.

The guy has been serving 15 years for the accidental death of a drunken general during a hunting trip. He is also known by the nickname "The Mute." You couldn't come up with a better candidate. But the perfect hitman goes out of control.

Die Eitelkeit der Diktatoren und ihre Sucht nach Macht und Luxus sorgen auch unfreiwillig für Komik. Der eine meint, von Ausserirdischen entführt worden zu sein, ein anderer verbietet Zigaretten, weil er selbst mit dem Rauchen aufhört, wieder ein anderer verlegt die Hauptstadt, weil die Sterne ihm das raten. Dieser Film lässt nur einen Schluss zu: Wer verrückt ist, kann immer noch Diktator werden.

Vom ersten Moment bis zur letzten Szene von Mergui kann man wirklich sehen dass der Regisseur Sandor Poppinga sich um das Thema „Natur und Reisen“ kümmert da er seinen Film mit vielen Details und Emotionen durchdrungen hat. Wir gratulieren der gesamten Crew und ganz besonders den Kameramännern. Der Film handelt von Myanmar, auch bekannt als Burma. Es ist eine schöne Hommage an das Land und eine realistische Darstellung seiner Naturwunder und Probleme. Der Film ist thematisch sehr vielfältig, aber meiner Meinung nach trifft es die Bezeichnung als „ökologische Vorsichtsgeschichte“ am besten. Das zeigt sich am deutlichsten in seinem dritten Kapitel, indem er das unglücklicherweise große Problem der Überfischung und Zerstörung der Meeresumwelt dieses Landes beleuchtet.

Ein apokalyptischer Klang dröhnender Maschinen dringt unaufhörlich in die Lebensräume von Mensch und Natur vor. Karge Landschaften und verlassene Dörfer verweilen in hypnotischer Unruhe. Ein selbstzerstörendes System trifft auf Widerstand.
