People is a film shot behind closed doors in a workshop/house on the outskirts of Paris and features a dozen characters. It is based on an interweaving of scenes of moaning and sex. The house is the characters' common space, but the question of ownership is distended, they don't all inhabit it in the same way. As the sequences progress, we don't find the same characters but the same interdependent relationships. Der Grieche Kaliopuli, als Dolmetscher für den Mahdi unentbehrlich, will den Kindern helfen.

Die Dokumentation will jenseits von medialen Sensationsberichten mit Vorurteilen aufräumen und zeigt die geschichtliche Entwicklung der Musikrichtung auf, die (oft missverstandenen) Prinzipien der Szene und wofür die Musik eigentlich steht.

Im ersten Teil konzentrieren sich John Petrucci, James LaBrie & Co. auf das neue, unbetitelte Album, das hier mit vier Songs vorgestellt wird. Dabei zeigt sich auch die Klasse von Nummern wie 'The Enemy Inside', 'Along For The Ride' oder 'The Looking Glass', die mir livehaftig hier mehr zusagen als auf dem Album. Der Rest des ersten Aktes besteht aus dem Instrumental 'Enigma Machine', den beiden "A Dramatic Turn Of Events"-Nummern 'On The Back Of Angels und 'Breaking All Illusions' sowie den beiden Überraschungen 'The Shattered Fortress' und 'Trial Of Tears'. Letzteres inklusive feinen Soloeinlagen von Mike Mangini und John Petrucci.
