Revival of Evangelion is a re-edit of the Neon Genesis Evangelion films , released in 1998. It consists of Evangelion: Death (which was essentially a clip show that summarized the entire regular series) and The End of Evangelion , re-edited together to make a version that tells the entire story of Evangelion. It is considered to be the final form of the Evangelion films.

Als der Schriftsteller James Baldwin 1987 verstarb, hinterließ er ein unfertiges Manuskript mit dem Titel „Remember This House“. Darin beschäftigt er sich mit der Geschichte des Rassismus im modernen Amerika und greift dabei auch auf persönliche Erinnerungen an seine Freunde zurück: die Bürgerrechtsaktivisten Malcolm X, Medgar Evers und Martin Luther King, die alle drei ermordet wurden. Regisseur Raoul Peck arbeitet dieses Material in seinem Dokumentarfilm auf und verwendet dafür vornehmlich die originalen Worte Baldwins, die Ausschnitte aus dem Manuskript werden dabei von Schauspieler Samuel L. Jackson vorgelesen. Dazu kommen Aufnahmen von öffentlichen Auftritten des Schriftstellers im Fernsehen und auf Bürgerrechtsveranstaltungen sowie Ausschnitte aus den Hollywood-Filmen, die ihn inspirierten und antrieben.
