Matthias is going on a weekend course of self-discovery called “My Value on Earth,” which was an expensive gift from his girlfriend. The course is supposed to help him deal with his chronic inability to finish things that he’s started. But before Matthias leaves, his girlfriend springs a surprise on him: he’s going to be a father. And so he hopes to use the weekend, which he has no real desire to go on, to answer new and pressing questions. The “alternative” therapist, however, doesn’t inspire much trust. The tragicomedy Frantic Attempts takes aim at the field of personal development, in particular, dubious therapists who offer quick fixes. After all, what if we should answer our existential questions ourselves instead of trying to find answers from others?

Painter Gao Yuan’s experimental animation is composed of a series of surreal scenes, based on her acrylic paintings made between 2010-14. Objects and people find themselves in unusual situations where rules of gravity and structure do not apply. The familiar yet unnervingly offbeat scenes are connected through unexpected sounds and rhythms. Under the dim moonlight, the characters are stuck in a dream state from which they cannot awaken.

When Madeleine is diagnosed with Alzheimers, she makes two important decisions. One is to keep it from her family. The other is to revisit her beloved Gaspésie and relive, for one last time, the memories this evokes. Encountering Zoë, an emotionally disturbed young musician, Madeleine asks her to be her driver for the trip.

Nan-hee and Min-hee are best friends who also went to the same college. Nan-hee came from a poor family while Min-hee comes from a wealthy background. But their friendship overcomes these obvious difference. Nan-hee begins to work in the fashion industry shortly after graduation and soon goes to Paris to study while Min-hee marries Jae-min who was once supposed to have a blind date with Nan-hee. Nan-hee spends poor but passionate days in Paris. Jae-min stops by Paris on a business trip and the two begin to fall for each other. When Nan-hee returns to Seoul, Jae-min supports her business wholeheartedly. Min-hee is shocked beyond words when she finds out about the relations between the two. When Jae-min is in a car accident, they begin to consider divorce. Realizing that her best friend's life is in ruins because of her, Nan-hee gives up her business and marries an artist. Min-hee picks up Nan-hee's business from where she left off.

Truck driver Teddy's late night stop at a gas station takes a dark turn when he meets the mysterious hooker Katerina, leading to unexpected consequences.

Antoine, the son of a level-crossing keeper (for the famous train station in Ciotat), hides a dark obsession behind his hobby of filming trains.

Through a kindly act Broncho Billy earns the deep gratitute of Marion Rivers, who presents him with a Bible. Not long afterwards, she comes upon him as he is about to hold up the stage, but at sight of the girl he is overwhelmed with shame and taking out the little Bible promises her that he will live honorably. In the meantime, Marion's father holds up the stage at another point, and one of the stagecoach drivers, mounting a bareback pony, rides off for the sheriff. Broncho Billy sees Rivers get away with the money, and when he hears the sheriff and his men coming, for Marion's sake he goes to warn her father. To shield him, he takes the bags of money and rides away with the men after him. He leaves the money at the mile post with a note saying: "SAheriff, I'm through with Bear County, this stick-up was my last", and rides across the border. (Moving Picture World Synopsis)

The idea is that the phenomenon of Soviet rock music is as extensive and complicated as the structure of the book. Featuring rock bands: "Агата Кристи", "Чайф", "Наутилус Помпилиус", rock singer Nastya Poleva and her band "Настя"

Die Familie eines Farmers wurde umgebracht und er wurde zurückgelassen, weil die Täter dachten, er sei tot. Schwer verletzt und völlig verwirrt flüchtet er in die Wüste. In einer Höhle fällt er in einen ohnmächtigen und sehr langen Schlaf. Nachdem er erwacht stellt er fest, dass er sich völlig verändert hat. Höhere Wesen haben ihn ausgewählt und ihm unglaubliche Kraft verliehen. Sie haben ihn zu einem 'Savage' gemacht, einem gottähnlichen Wesen und ihr körperlicher Stellvertreter auf der Erde. Sein Auftrag besteht darin, die von Urmenschen erbaute Dimensionsschleuse in ein Paralleluniversum zu beschützen, die von Michael Burrogh, dem Chef der übermächtigen 'Tital Corporation', entdeckt wurde. Burrogh gedenkt die Schleuse zu öffnen und hinüber zu wechseln, um unsterblich zu werden. Da aber bei jedem Entmaterialisierungsvorgang Zeitbeben ausgelöst werden, die furchtbare Katastrophen nach sich ziehen, muss ihn der Savage stoppen.

Gerade ist Susan mit Ehemann Richard und Sohn Jimi von New York nach Woodstock ins Hudson Valley gezogen. Hat sie damals einen schweren Fehler gemacht, als sie nicht nach Lucas suchte? Was wird ein Geständnis für ihre Ehe bedeuten? Und wird Jimi sie für ihre Lüge hassen?
