Returning wounded from the war Maksym was overcome by self-doubt, in his physiological state. He is undergoing rehabilitation. He loses contact with his wife. He is tormented by dreams. Die Reparatur wird trotzdem fortgesetzt und schon bald mehren sich seltsame Ereignisse. Es dauert nicht lange und schon wütet Godzilla wieder in den Städten Japans. Bald eilt auch schon Mothra zu Hilfe aber dann entscheidet der Premierminister den noch nicht ganz reparierten Mechagodzilla am Kampf teilnehmen zu lassen. Der Kampf unter den drei Monstern beginnt als plötzlich neue Riesenungeheuer hinzukommen. Und keiner weiß ob sie Freunde oder Feinde der Menschheit sind!
