Linghu Chong, a swordsman longing to leave the martial arts world, is drawn back into the clash between good and evil. Naruto: The Cross Roads (Za Kurosurozu) is the sixth Naruto OVA. It uses the same CGI graphics as Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm and was released during Naruto: Shippuden. This OVA premiered at the Jump Festa Anime Tour 2009. Between the Prologue - Land of Waves and Chunin Exams arcs, Team 7 is waiting for Kakashi, who is late again, to start a new mission (B-ranked as Sasuke states). The team sets off while Kakashi explains that Genmai from the Inaho Village is missing, who has vanished in the hills.

After parting with Sasuke at the Final Valley, Uzumaki Naruto has been away from the village of Konohagakure to further his training. Two and a half years later, he finally returns to the village and takes his mission in Team Kakashi, then he finds the clue on Orochimaru. Naruto leads the team and heads to the place where Orochimaru is in order to save his friend Sasuke. However, little does he know that "Akatsuki" is seeking after his life to acquire the Nine-Tailed sealed in his body.

Wie der Zufall es will, wird Takigakure just in diesem Augenblick von einer Gruppe abtrünniger Ninjas angegriffen, die es auf das sogenannte Heldenwasser abgesehen haben. Nun ist es an der Zeit zu zeigen, aus welchem Holz die Ninjas aus Konoha geschnitzt sind.

In dem Leiter der GPU-Sektion Europa Nikolai Bokscha erkennt sie den Mann wieder, der für den Tod ihrer Familie in den Wirren der russischen Revolution verantwortlich war. Sie denunziert Bokscha, der als Doppelagent auch für die Franzosen arbeitet, bei der GPU-Zentrale in Moskau, woraufhin dieser liquidiert wird. Als die GPU Olga nicht aus ihren Diensten entlassen will, nimmt sie sich das Leben.

Heraus kommt eine Riesenlarve aus der nach kurzer Zeit 5-Meter-lange Riesenlibellen schlüpfen, die Meganulas. Sie sammeln Energie und pumpen sie in eine weitere Larve aus der schließlich jenes Monster schlüpft mit dem selbst Godzilla nicht gerechnet hätte: Megaguirus ein gigantischer Riesenkäfer. Der will sofort Godzillas Energie anzapfen und so wird Japan schließlich zum Schlachtfeld auf dem sich Godzilla, Megaguirus und die Menschheit gegenüber stehen...
