Im Laufe des Films beginnt Corbett, immer mehr an der Schuld Sanchez’ zu zweifeln, und stellt sich am Ende sogar auf seine Seite, als er erfährt, dass Brokstons Schwiegersohn Chet Miller das Verbrechen verübt hatte.
